Este jueves 18 de enero, la empresa Contugas, a favor del Servicio Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas por el Estado (Sernanp), inaugurará un nuevo Centro de Control y Vigilancia en la Reserva Nacional San Fernando, ubicada en la región Ica.
Como parte de dicha inauguración, la empresa además entregará diversas herramientas y equipos para potenciar el desarrollo de actividades de patrullaje y monitoreo de personal del Sernanp.
La empresa estará intensificando su apoyo a la reserva con:
- Dos cuatrimotos.
- Dron Hexacóptero profesional.
- Dos tanques de agua de 2,500 litros.
- Paneles solares.
- Tranquera de vigilancia.
- Apoyo durante dos años al programa de voluntariado de la reserva.
Estas acciones muestran el relacionamiento genuino de Contugas con los distintos actores de la región Ica y se encuentran enmarcadas dentro del convenio interinstitucional suscrito el 9 de diciembre del 2015 entre la empresa distribuidora de gas natural en Ica y el organismo público adscrito al Ministerio del Ambiente (Minam).
La relevancia de este compromiso se manifiesta en las acciones realizadas para contribuir a la conservación y desarrollo sostenible de la Reserva a través de la vigilancia, control y monitoreo biológico, como sucede en el trasplante y monitoreo de la especie de Tillandsial desarrollado por Contugas, fortaleciendo así la gestión del área natural protegida.
Se espera que, gracias a este acuerdo, exista un mayor control y una gestión efectiva en la zona este de la Reserva Nacional San Fernando, área donde abunda el guanaco y Tillandsial.
