Estos talleres gratuitos promueven el empoderamiento y fortalecimiento de las capacidades productivas de las mujeres iqueñas a través de las herramientas y conocimientos ofrecidos con el objetivo de potenciar sus habilidades y convertirlas en administradoras y emprendedoras exitosas, tomando en cuenta además el tema de nutrición saludable con lo que se busca mejorar la calidad alimenticia y combatir la desnutrición en los menores, ancianos y madres gestantes que día a día son atendidos.
Contugas viene replicando estos talleres en otras organizaciones vulnerables de las provincias mencionadas, sumándose a ellas el distrito de Marcona (Nasca). Se tiene previsto convertir a los comedores y programas de vaso de leche en microempresas que puedan generar sus propios ingresos y lograr así la sostenibilidad de sus actividades.
“Nutri Contugas” se enfoca también en la mejora continua de los servicios de alimentación a través de la conexión gratuita al gas natural, lo cual ocasiona un ahorro significativo en el presupuesto de las organizaciones beneficiadas, asimismo, vela por el buen uso del energético a través de la refacción y mejora de las estructuras y la dotación de implementos como ollas, cocinas y otros utensilios.
